New Kids On The Block tickets

“We cherish every opportunity that we get to perform for our fans, but a Las Vegas residency gives us an opportunity to take our performance, and interaction with our fans, to the next level,” Donnie Wahlberg said in a press statement. “We plan on maximizing everything that the amazing Dolby Live at Park MGM has to offer, to create the most incredible NKOTB concert ever. As well as everything that Las Vegas has to offer — to create multiple events to directly engage with our fans. Las Vegas will never be the same after the New Kids and the Blockheads take over the town.” According to the press release, the 16 performances will “immerse attendees in a heart pounding night of hits, spectacle, celebration and showmanship”, and will be “jam-packed with their biggest hits and many surprises in store for their dedicated fans”.

The announcement comes after the group teased a Sin City residency when they headlined the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas last year. New Kids On The Block have been building up anticipation – after a fan event, they sent mobile billboard trucks down the Las Vegas strip, and now, it’s the talk of the town!

Last May, the band dropped ‘Still Kids’, their first full-length record in 11 years. So you can imagine the hype for this residency! Talking to NME about the release, Donnie Wahlberg shared: “We always figured we’d do another album at some point. The fans – the Blockheads – would often ask, and we did a song a few years back with Rick Astley, Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue [2022’s ‘Bring Back the Time’] and it really inspired us to start writing again and that lit the spark to lead to a new album.”

About New Kids On The Block

If you didn’t already know, New Kids on the Block are a world renowned American boy band that became very popular in the late eighties and early nineties. The group includes the super talented Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. Forever dominating the airwaves, they are best known for smash hit songs like “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever),” “Hangin’ Tough,” as well as “Step by Step,” which is their biggest-selling single. Their 1988 record, Hangin’ Tough, was a massive success, climbing to the coveted number one spot on the Billboard charts and selling over a staggering eight million copies in the U.S. alone. Other popular records include 1990’s Step by Step and their holiday album Merry, Merry Christmas (1989). Fast forward to 2008, and New Kids On The Block made a strong comeback with The Block, which debuted at an impressive number two on the charts.

Over the years, New Kids On The Block have won several awards, including two American Music Awards in 1990 for both Favorite Pop/Rock Band and Favorite Album for Hangin’ Tough. That year, the group also took home a Billboard Music Award for Top Pop Artist, and were nominated for a Grammy for Best Music Video.

Their latest opus

New Kids on the Block are toasting to never growing up with their latest opus, Still Kids. The album dropped on May 17 and follows up their 2013 full-length 10. “This album, more than any other, is bringing the New Kids and the fans full circle,” Donnie Wahlberg said in a statement. “It’s about hope and possibilities and being ourselves.”

Donnie Wahlberg, Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, and Danny Wood’s new hit single “Kids” is an eighties earworm pop track all about making the most out of however much time you have. And we’re obsessed! “It’s the most mature album we’ve ever made,” Donnie Wahlberg added. “Yet it’s the most fun and most comfortable album we’ve ever made.” The talented singer served as creative director on the record as well as co-writing half of the 14-song tracklist alongside Lars Halvor Jensen and his production company DEEKAY Music.

Still Kids full tracklist includes, “Magic,” “Summer Love,” “Long Time Coming,” “Kids,” “A Love Like This,” “Dance With You,” “Come Back,” “In the Night,” “Runaway,” “Pop,” “Get Down (feat. DJ Jazzy Jeff),” “Old School Love (feat. Taylor Dayne),” “Better Days,” and “Stay.” Joey McIntyre said, “It says a lot about any band to make a record that has energy and passion and lightness and fun and depth,” adding “After almost 40 years together? It’s crazy.”

Shortly after Still Kids arrived, New Kids on the Block embarked on an absolutely huge 2024 Magic Summer tour, making legendary stops throughout North America from June until August. The highly praised trek starred special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff, who is also featured on the album track “Get Down.” The album also boasts Taylor Dayne on “Old School Love.”
